Taylor Swift Thinks "Being Single Is Wonderful"

Taylor Swift Thinks "Being Single Is Wonderful"

At the young age of 20, Taylor Swift has already had a rather complicated love life. But, the Grammy-winning singer doesn't let her high-profile break-ups get her down (in fact, she's used her pain to make for some pretty great music!)

Now, Swift, whose latest album called Speak Now is being released on October 25th, is opening up to People magazine (she graces the cover of the new issue, on stands this Friday) about her famous exes and the single life.

"Being single is wonderful and I love it," Swift assures, adding, "I don't ever have a morning where I wake up and say, 'I really need to find a boyfriend today'."

Could her splits from former flames Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner, or more likely, notorious playboy John Mayer be the cause for her stance on singlehood?

Swift (whose song called "Dear John" on the new album is speculated to be about Mayer) says she's used her relationships gone awry as inspiration to move on. She explains, "Sometimes when things impact you so intensely, it takes writing a song to get over them."

The pop-country star also says that while she's experienced  "extreme joy, extreme pain, extreme curveballs" in her love life, she promises fans, "I will say everything in my music."
